- 2008 Chicago Auto Show
The Chicago show is a great place to take in a full range of products. There is a pronounced emphasis on trucks ranging from light duty to large commercial vehicles made by International. Ford chose the Chicago show to unveil its plans for a new more efficient commercial van, the Transit Connect. Several real-world examples were shown to illustrate the flexibility of the platform. General motors revealed the hybrid version of the Sierra pickup, and a new truck variant of the Hummer H3. General Motors also showed a neat unibody pickup concept called the Denali XT. Suzuki revealed its new line of mid-sized trucks, which come by way of Nissan. Of course, the big news was the introduction the production Dodge Challenger. Dodge had all three available colors on display. Overall, the most significant new vehicle shown was Chevrolet's new large crossover, the Traverse.
