The FX45 is Infiniti's version of the crossover SUV, with the emphasis on Sport. The BMW X5 is the obvious target. A 4.5L DOHC V-8 (300-bhp/300 lb.-ft.) from the 2002 Q45 powers the FX45 through a 5-speed automatic. The All-Mode AWD system is derived from the Skyline GT-R coupe. A Vehicular Control System keeps the driver out of trouble. The FX45 is equipped with 285/50R20 tires mounted on 20-inch alloy wheels. Rear passengers have a video game and DVD system to keep them occupied. A front-mounted integrated LCD display controls the navigation, HVAC, wireless internet, and audio systems.
