- Overview
Nissan reintroduces the vaunted Z next summer as a 2003 model. The Z Concept shown at the 2001 NAIAS is very similar to the production car, according to Nissan. A 260-bhp+, 3.5L V-6 powers the new Z. 0-60 time is expected to be sub-6 seconds. A 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic versions are expected. 20-inch wheels with 255/35R20 (F) and 275/35R20 (R) equipped the Z Concept. Apparently, the new Z will not carry an alphanumeric designation such as "350Z". Both coupe and convertible variants are planned. No 2+2 version will be available. Nissan promises a base price below $30,000.
